The design of the UMC404HD is very easy to understand, as it considered standard. This happens mostly because the company decides to keep the controls, inputs and outputs separately, without labeling them into groups like most of the their competitors. The unit itself is fairly large, which is not uncommon for the most audio interface models designed by the Behringer Company. From the first look, you can understand that it is a device built for more than average performance. I'm using the Behringer driver, and it turned out I only needed to plug in the headphones into the interface and turn up my volume knobs. The Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD is a beautiful audio interface, and can easily outrank any other competing interface of the same price range. Tl dr: I've been trying to get this behringer audio interface to work for hours and everything I try seems to fail.Įdit: It's working! My left ear is lonely, but that should be an easy fix. I tried plugging in my instrument cable into the Mic//Line 1 input and it caused the levels in the program to continuously flutter, but I assume its just static and not a real signal.

I tried hooking up my guitar directly into the unit, but nothing happened. I know this isn't a problem with my pedal because I used that with my amp just fine. Other than messing around with the settings, I made sure that the recording was armed, the recording monitoring was working, and everything was plugged in correctly. Here's some screenshots of the different settings I tried in the preferences: I installed behringer's drivers and although I could listen to audio from the internet, there was still no sound coming from Reaper.

When I got the audio interface, I downloaded the asio4all drivers, but when I adjusted the preferences in reaper, there was no input coming in and no output. I was initially planing to use my laptop's internal soundcard as an output and from there I can use my headphones (they're regular headphones not the one with the 1/4" jack) to listen to my recording. Right now, my guitar is hooked up to a multi fx pedal, which goes to my interface, which goes to my computer.

I got my behringer uphoria um2 audio interface today and I'm trying to get it set up on Reaper. I'm sure there's another question like this but I've been searching for answers for hours and I'm tired and annoyed as hell.
